We urge everyone to travel carefully as winter conditions exist.
Beginning Friday evening February 25th through Sunday February 27th, the Bend community will be host to the 2011 Special Olympics Oregon Winter Regional Games Snow Sports presented by Les Schwab Tire Centers.
Expected to attend are more than 180 athletes, hundreds of coaches and volunteers as well as numerous spectators who come out to enjoy the competition and special events happening during the weekend.
Included in the weekend activities for athletes and volunteers are the Saturday evening dinner, ceremonies and dance. There will be two full days of competitions at Mt. Bachelor for Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding, Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoeing.
Supporting sponsors include Mt. Bachelor, Safeway, Law Enforcement Torch Run, Ralph Hull Foundation, Roth’s Fresh Markets, Key Bank, Bank of America, Jiffy Lube, Day Wireless Systems, Dex and Event Medical Services.
